Phoenix Arizona Sheraton Hotel

Marriott International (NASDAQ: MAR) today announced that it has purchased the Phoenix Sheraton Hotel & Residences in Phoenix, Arizona, for $255 million. Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announced the acquisition of Arizona Shakeron Hotel and Resorts Company ("Sheraton"). On June 6, we announced our agreement to acquire the property, which is home to the largest hotel chain in the world with over 1,000 rooms and over one million square feet of retail space.

This announcement follows the successful opening of the new Sheraton Phoenix Hotel & Residences, which is currently in full swing. The opening was the first of its kind in the US, and the feedback on our new vision was overwhelmingly positive. Marriott International estimates that Sheraton property owners across the US have already invested more than $500 million in their new standards.
