Red Mountain High School Reviews

RMHS offers a lot of different oppurtunities for students. Like, Club RIF, NJHS, and their Debate team. The teachers there are great, and from my experiences with teachers they really do care about us students, and they are preparing us for careers that will likely come available in the 21st century. I can't recomend this school highly enough!! Lions Don't Lose!

There are several great programs for advanced academics as well and the school has been given many awards for its top notch teachers. My child and I are both extremely satisfied with the programs and level of teacher commitment given at RMHS. As a side-note I'll comment on a parent's previous post about the orchestra. As an orchestra parent myself, I felt that it was only fair to the readers to post and say that I know for a fact that parents were given more than two MONTHS notice about the orchestra field trip (and eight months for this year's!) and my student claims that it was the best trip of her life. The director DOES in fact believe in chair placement. After taking private lessons last year, my daughter did move up several chairs. We have no complaints and are both very happy with the direction the program is going.

I am very impressed with the quality of help my son is recieving in his special education class. While my son is mainstreamed for several classes, Ms. Bocksteller has asssisted in insuring that he gets the supports needed to be successful in those classes She has been a tremendous support to both my son and I.

Red Mountain is an excellent school. Anyone who says otherwise is taking what they have for granted. The fact that students are able to get a top-notch education is something of which families in less-fortunate settings only dream.

The choir, advanced academics, and sports programs are all excellent; a very good school. I enjoy attending and being a Mountain Lion.

Quality of academics is average at best, my child sometimes has a hard time getting before/after school help from teachers. The quality of music/orchestra class is very poor. Also the orchestra instructor does not believe in rating chairs, never moves the kids up if they deserve it. The field trip was poorly handled this year, communication was very bad and 2 weeks notice was given about details of the trip, then they arrived home at 2:15 a.m. on a Sunday. Red Mtn has been a very bad experience for my A student who continues to try to excel.

Outstanding school in every way. Terribly impressed with the teachers and extracurricular activities

This school has great sports programs and a nationally recognized debate team.

Excellent school! The sports programs are of good quality as are the instructors for the advanced cirriculum.

This school is diverse both in academics and extra curricular activities. My sister attended Red Mountain all through high school and was able to participate in more activities than I think even she was able to handle. She was heavily involved in student council and learned a great deal about leadership and accountability. Her academic skills were also tremendously improved during her time at this school. This is one of those schools were a student is only limited by his or her own ambition.

Its a great school. Rotc is great too.

As a former student (1994), I am pleased with the education I recieved while attending Red Mountain. The classes, teachers and extra curricular activities prepared me for life in the real world. The overall atmoshpere of the campus was one of fun and unity. If I still lived in the area, I would be proud for my child to be a Mountain Lion.
