Isaac E Imes School Reviews

I am concerned because the new administration doesn't seem to value the importance of each and every student at Imes. Students need to be treated with more respect and consideration. After all, the reason that the administrators even have a job is because of students. As an educator and as a parent, I value the importance of each and every student in any educational institution. Parent invlovement is also very important but I have not been invited to hardly any meetings this year. I kept asking about a PTO meeting so that I could help out but I never was invited to attend. I don't think that the PTO organization was active this year. I am also a parent/volunteer and got to go on the one field trip for the year. It makes a diference when students feel proud and good about being part of a school that treats them with respect.

Isaac E Imes is a small school in Glendale that does not do well on test scores, primarily because the majority of the children are from minority homes, where English is not the first language. However, the teaching staff and administrators are among the best and provide an excellent education. One of the true best is their PE teacher, Mrs. Trevor. She is highly trained and understands sports and kinetics, but she also instills manners and respect. For example, she does not allow her students to play dodge ball because it shows disrespect. She teaches classes for special needs children too and actually 'teaches.' Every year she hosts a Field Day and pays for ribbons and prizes out of her own pocket. As an example at this school, she is truly a teacher who cares and the kind of teacher who will be remembered by her students their entire lives.

I wen to isaac e imes school. There are some great teachers there. They taught me alot. I dont know why they would be underperforming. The school is in a place where not alot of people heard of it. Since it's so small, it's still a great place ! There are alot of great people that work there.

I am a teacher in a district in Northern Arizona and have taught school for over 20 years. I recently met some of your teachers and have talked to some of them about how they teach and what they teach. One of your teachers was one of the nicest people I have ever met and she was very knowledgeable. She seemed to really care about her students and seemed to really want them to perform well and to go on to a higher level of education. I believe she is the P.E. teacher at your school. I just wanted to let you know what others in the profession think of your staff. This particular one is a very dedicated professional. I certainly hope you realize what a gem you have. Wish she was at my school as I know my students would love her.
