Carson Junior High School Reviews

Last year when my daughter started to attend Carson, she would come home and tell me how hard of a time she was having being a good girl and making good choices. She mentioned the foul language and the fact that being good was just not cool. I have gone over and spoke to her teachers who I really believe are great teachers and they really care about their students, but the problem I believe, is in the poor enforcement of basic rules of conduct. It's just too bad. I would love to be able to support my local schools but my hands are tied on this one.

The administration could use some work, but the teaching staff is far above par! They are some of the most dedication teachers I have yet to see at a public school. And the students are an amazing group of kids.

My daughter attented Carson and was very unhappy we really dislike this school and everything about.

I went to this school previously and I noticed some things going on that shouldn't have been. I didn't think being in a public school teachers would constantly talk about their religion. This is a horrible learning environment and I completely disagree with everything that is going on here. I can name many teachers that did nothing to help me become at the required level. I strongly recommend you don't send your children here.

The teachers truly do a good job at teaching these kids when they really do not have a lot of resources to work with. The kids are a great bunch and I belive are given a bad rap. All in all it really is a great school.

Although there are changing demographics at this school, it has a caring teaching staff that works hard to meet the needs of all students. The administration is outstanding in maintaining the integrity of the instructional programs as well as basic 'law and order'. There is little violence and dilinquency.

I received a courtesy call from my childs World Geography teacher advising me of behavior concerns and how he felt this was due to poor choice of friends. My daughter is an honor student and because of prior experience with this, my own, I know that this can be the 'detour' in a child's life. The care, concern and initiative this teacher has demonstrated is greatly appreciated.

I had difficulty getting a return phone call back from a couple of teachers. Teachers complain about the lack of parent involvement, but when I want information about my child's progress, I should get it!

The school is o.k. The teachers try hard and the children seem to be learning.

The teachers are very dedicated, however the staff does not make it easy to get involved with your childs classes and studies. Not very parent friendly.

My son is attending Carson for his third year. Carson is a very good school but as a parent you need to stay involved with your child's progress. Unfortunately there are many students attending Carson that have parents that don't stay involoved. Administration and teachers do the best that they can but when there is little parent support from a number of parents it effects the overall make up of the school. My son has a 4.2 GPA is invloved with activities and is enjoying his experience at Carson. We are looking forward to having him attend Westwood too.

My child attended this school last year. the programs were all pretty good, but some of the teachers really were'nt.The school needs More discipline. Another item was The Test scores were very low. There were also quite a few fights during the school year!

My children don't enjoy going to this school, the teachers/staff don't discipline stundents severe enough and don't care about all of their sudents.
