Pope John XXIII Catholic School Reviews

We are a new family to Pope John XXIII and are so pleased with the education our son is receiving. We love that Pope John engages the students, academically, socially, physically and spiritually. The parent organization is fabulous. The parents involved do a top-notch job of organizing school activities from box tops to a school wide Harvest Fest. If you are looking for a school where teachers, students and parents work together to develop respectful, intelligent, faithfilled children then your search is over. Come be part of Pope John XXIII.

My son has attended Pope John XXIII for over six years now. The teachers are great in that they are experienced and help us keep him on track for success. The school uses web based access so my wife and I can follow his weekly progress. Email communication is used and has been a great tool. The administration sets a wonderful example of Christian leadership: they are strong in their faith, attend Mass with the students, and promote a spirit of service to the community. The teachers are successfully helping our son to become a responsible Christian citizen and steward. He is confident and outgoing as a result of the encouraging environment. Parents are actively involved and participate in his learning process. Unlike other schools, Pope John XXIII continues to offer art, music, physical education, Spanish as a foreign language, computers, and has a great library. Extended care is also available.

We have two children at Pope John XXIII. The students learn how important it is to be a leader in their community with service projects and Christian role models. All the teachers have been enthusiastic about their role in a child's life. They are committed to guidance and academic excellence. Our seventh grade student will be well prepared for a private or public High School.

We just started our son in Kindergarten this year and the experience has been wonderful. The sense of family is not lost in the environment of higher learning.

Pope John has been the best school I have ever been invovled with. My son has had the best experience from both an academic standpoint and social standpoint. I wouldn't consider any other school for my children.

Pope John XXIII is an active and involved community of teachers, parents and children. The curriculum is well formed and the teachers are experienced and enthusiastic. As parents of PJXXIII students for the last 8 years, we have see the school develop and grow into a well-functioning school and community. All schools have challenges, but the close community and committed leadership is able to face challenges and make changes and improvements quickly.

This is our first year at Pope John with twin girls in each of the two first grade classes. They love their new school and we have received a very warm welcome into the community. The faith filled environment is inspiring to both the students and the parents. We have two more kids that will definitly attend Pope John as well. It's a Great School!!

What a wonderful school. If anyone has the privilege of becoming a part of this community I would say go for it! Teachers are wonderful and parents are so caring. Best school around!

I had a very uniquely bad experience at this school. The teacher was new to the school this year and lacked the skills, education and experience to handle such a large and young classroom. Administration is very out of touch. The teachers' credentials have proven to be far below that of our new school. I found the discipline to be a little unrealistic and excessive.

Pope John XXIII Catholic School Community is an excellent school that provides a faith based education with a challenging academic environment. The principal, vice-principal and all the teachers are all at this school because they truly love educating children. The parent involvement is outstanding with a very active PTA that sponsors festivals, talent shows, BBQ field day, and fine art concerts. The extracurricular activities include: chess club, sports clubs, game clubs, choir and organized athletic teams starting in 5th grade and up. The discipline is strong and this creates a safe atmosphere for children. The entire school does not tolerate any type of bullying and everyone is involved to make sure that every student feels accepted and safe coming to school. Lastly, the overall quality is worth every penny I spend in tuition and more!

The parent involvment is very large. Many parents are always seen around the campus which makes it an inviting community. I am a parent volunteer. The school makes you feel great about volunteering, they have volunteer breakfast and are always thanking you very appreciatlivly. The extracurricular activities are excellent and range from math clubs to excellent sports teams and computer clubs. The art teacher is very creative and take great care of the kids. she lets them have fun and learn at the same time. The academic programs are pretty good tehy could be a little better. One of the great things about the school is that as a parent concerned about my childrens grades, they are fortuante to have edline. Teachers update this program almost everyday so I can see what my child got on a certain project or what his grade was. I know this school is preparing themforhighschool.

This is a wonderful school. Uniforms, religion, discipline, and plenty of homework. Larger size classes work because of the aides and proof class (a form of detention). A warm, caring small community of families.

We are new to Pope John and are very impressed with the school at this point. There is a lot of parent involvement which is encouraging to see.
