There is not a lot of good to say about this school. My child started there this year and we had high hopes for this 'hands on learning environment', but it has all turned out to be a joke. The teachers are great with the kids, but the organization, administration (if there is any) and the actual building are horrifying.

Classes are small that is the best part. Follow through seems to be lacking in the two areas I have had issues. My daughter loves her teacher but her classmates are mean.

My son has been at Mission Charter for a few years. Each year I have observed improvement in the teaching abilty of the staff. I am impressed with the family, caring and listening atmosphere that exists at Mission Charter School.

This is one of the unmost organized schools that my child has been to. The teacehing staff may be caring but the supervising staff change there minds much too often. They constantly promise changes to better develop there educational plan's but fail to do so all so offen.

My son has gone to Mission Schools for six years. This experience has been wonderful for him. The family atmosphere, the caring staff have made school such a positive experience for him. I want to thank the Mission staff for all they have done to make his experience positive. His test scores were quite impressive. We are excited abou the continuation of grades for him and hope to have him enrolled until he graduates.

Both my children have gone to Mission Charter School for the past several years. In the elementary school, I felt like this was a great place for my children to be. However, that experience has changed rapidly over the years. My children have not felt safe at their school for the past two years. I have been very disappointed in the outcome of this school. Until the middle school years both my children loved school. Today, they don't like school, don't want to go to school and do not feel that this school is a positive place for them to be. It has been a horrible experience for both me and my children over the past two or three years.

My daughter has been a Mission kid for a year now and she has bloomed into a happy and bright child as well as continued to be the intelligent and quick thinking child she has always been. Mission addresses the whole student stressing academic success along with social and real life success as well, which is just as important to us as parents and just as important to our child in the real world.

We love Mission! I searched for years for a great school where my son would get the support he needed. From the moment I first contacted Mission last summer I had a strong feeling that we found the school for us, and I was so right. This has been the moost enjoyable and productive year we have had since Kindergarten. I look forward to continued success and plan on sending my two yonger sons when they are school age. Like many of the other posts here, I agree that Mission really is like family!

I am a former student for Mission Charter School. If you are looking for a place to put your kids in Mission would be a great school. The atmosphere is like a true family. When I first went their I was shy but then the second week it felt like a 2nd home. You can talk to the teachers and they listen to you and help you solve your problems.Students have problems just like any other schools but we get throught it together. when I am there I feel safe an loved by all. I love mission and will always be my school

The schools consistency is excellent. As far as middle school, there math and lang. arts homework work together. The teachers are alwas aware of things going on. Parents don't seem to think they put there child/ren in a charter school, means less money per student, and smaller. How can you expect so much from so little? I enjoy the size because I have a chance to meet everyone. Please understand that mission is a wonderful school. Watch out for a highschool coming soon, for more information go to the mission charter office and ask.

If you have ever wanted to feel totally at home with a school and it's staff, you will once you arrive at Mission Charter School. These are real people who truly care about the future of your children. I was impressed the organization of executives, the willingness to discuss parental concerns about as much as seeing a smile on my childrens faces after their first day in 1st and 3rd grade. Teachers were extremely considerate and interested in parental viewpoints and suggestions. Academics are stressed and games are played as incentive to work harder. The children seemed to respond well to this approach. Physical Ed is two times a week and my daughters showed high interest in participation. Music education is not their strongest point however with an upcoming music talent show for 3rd graders I do see improvement. Overall my fiance, children and I feel very much at home.

I have had an outstanding experience since 2nd grade and Im graduating this year. I am more than ready for highschool. You can't get good grades without trying, some parents fail to understand that our school does more than any other school. The simple fact is that our school is a family, and the staff does all it can to make it a good enviorment. -Christine 8th grade mission charter

This school has great curriculum and activities! My daughter enjoyed all the projects and presentations.

My daughter has attended from first grade to third. I m sad to say I have seen a decline. I think the problem is lack of consistency. I feel she is doing well, but I have seen favoritism, nepotism, and misplaced discipline, as the other parents here have expressed. The teachers are hit and miss, from outstanding to flailing in the wind. They have started to mix classes, which to me has been the root of all the problem, should a student be in 3rd/4th or 4th/5th and when is that determined and why. I m not that happy with the extracurricular activities either, drama was removed and all sports are for 4th and above. To their credit however they were heads and tails above my initial options for my neighborhood. My daughter has always been safe, and happy. I have always had high expectations for her education though.

Mission Charter is a great hands on school! My children look forward to going to school every day.

Mission charter has been an excellent school for my children. One of the most important things that I love about the school is that its small and there's a sense of warmth, unity in the atmosphere. All the students and teacher know each other from 1-8th grade. It's like a family. Students are taught to respect others including teachers which helps them learn the things they need to learn.

This school is awesome, it makes you feel so welcome. All the teachers are very nice and they always make sure you understand each lesson. I am in 8th grade and I have been going to mission since I was in 4th grade and I have never wanted to leave, ever! I have learned so much at Mission. I have never gone through school without my teacher making sure that I understand everything she is teaching me. I would recommend this school to anyone! Another good thing about this school is that all the teachers are willing to go one on one with each student to help them if they are behind in their school work. I love this school, and if I could go to Mission next year too, I would!

We were disappointed and felt that academically the school had declined considerably as compared to prior years. Some of the classes appeared to be taught without a curriculum. In prior years, the classes and teaching approach were innovative and an emphasis was on applied learning. I hope in the future Mission can get back on track.

Mission is a great center base school. My daughter has attended for the last five years and has improved in all areas of academic. Students learn using hands on activities that are created by certified teachers. These activities are State Standard based activities.

A small school that nourishes each student's individual needs. Families are encouraged to be a part of their child's education.

Mission Charter School provides education that brings hands-on experiences to the classrooms. Teachers link the curriculum to purposeful objectives.

My child has attended this School for over two years now. In my opinion the school has lost its objective and has become nepotistic. The partiality demonstrated creates a conflict of interest. A suggestion coming from a concerned parent is, The same educational resources and opportunity be available for all the students, rather than a select few . As a parent, and from first hand experience, the discipline at this school is that of convenience rather than consistency with absolutely NO follow-through at a tremendous expense to the students. The overall SAT scores for my child and for the school consistently declined. In addition, our children became increasingly frustrated with school and began to dislike even going to school. I would not recommend this school to anyone. We feel we have wasted way to much time trying to make this school a success. As for our children, we are moving on.

principal and teachers more worried about disciplining for minor problems more than worried about teaching!!

Mission School seems to stress personal responsibility, and I like that. We've only been sending our kids there since the beginning of this school year, but so far we like what we see and would recommend this school to other parents.
