English Rose Tea Room: enjoy an authentic afternoon tea time

The décor isn’t the only authentically English feature at the Rose Tea Room, the extensive menu of English foods and loose leaf teas take this experience to the next level.

Enjoy a traditional afternoon Tea complete with delicate tea sandwiches, English scones, cakes, pastries and petit fours—pared perfectly with a fresh pot of tea. You can chose from more than 30 loose leaf tea varieties, so there’s sure to be something that everyone will enjoy. Among the variety of teas you can choose from are black, spiced, herbal, green and fruit teas—apricot, peach, passion fruit. If hot tea isn’t your thing, that’s ok! The English Rose Tea Room offers a variety of other drinks like the raspberry iced tea, hot chocolate, lemonade, chai tea and French press coffee.

For a hearty lunch chose from a variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, baked potatoes and quiches. The sandwich selections include chicken with nutmeg, tarragon and walnuts and the English hot-house cucumber with orange-mint butter. Try the smoked salmon quiche—prepared with cheese, onions and crispy pastry. You’ll even find some true British comfort food on the menu—Beans and Toast. Other specialty dishes include the ploughman’s lunch—imported English blue stilton and cheddar cheese with chutney, pickled onions, potato bread, sliced apples and served with salad cream dressing. Or, try the savory ham and cheese bread pudding—made with ham, cheese, potatoes, eggs, tomatoes, onions and served with a homemade cheese sauce.
