Don began playing the guitar at the age of fourteen. He had an affinity towards the instrument, and learned quickly. He focused on guitar through high school, and majored in commercial music in college. After college, he studied with many great teachers including guitar virtuoso Regi Wooten, and Grammy award winner Howard Levy, and continued his education at Harper College, and Elmhurst College. He also started to learn, and teach electric bass. Don went on to teach full time while performing hundreds of shows in Chicago and other parts of the U.S. He recorded a full length CD with the contemporary Folk and bluegrass band Evidence. Deciding that it was time for a change, Don relocated to Arizona in the summer of 2005. He is currently performing with several bands, teaching, and performing as a solo musican.
