Description:
JuliaÃ?Â's 6th Annual Holiday Party Date: Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 (always the 2nd Saturday in Dec every year) Time: 7:00 p.m. Cover Charge: $5.00 OK, mark your calendars. This is THE BIG ONE, folks, at a large central Scottsdale Party House. 150 people from multiple outdoor groups show up. Invite your friends, and bring a "quality" potluck dish and BYOB. "Quality" means no packaged cookies, snack-type of donations, and please no grocery store-bought desserts (TJ and Costco OK) ! Kudos to those who bring a main dish, crock pot plug-ins and BBQ grills available. The hopelessly "potluck challenged" can e-mail Julia jgenevy@juno.com to request painless, no-cook party items, that you could bring, instead of food. DRESS WARMLY, yes, gloves, scarves, longjohns, down jacket! Assuming no rain, party will be held outdoors in the backyard. Despite this warning, every year people didnÃ?Â't think to wear enough. There will be 3-4 firepits for warmth. Bring your favorite Christmas CDs to play for all. DIRECTIONS: Take Camelback Rd one mile east of Hayden where it deadends into the Pima Rd wall, turn right on 87th Street. Party house is one house S. of Camelback, on left, 4433 N. 87th Street, Scottsdale, red brick facade next to the alley. Do not use Mapquest, Yahoo, and other internet maps and directions (horrid directions and misleading maps!), or you will NEVER find the party house and you have to go back home to a lonely night with your uneaten potluck dish. A $5. COVER CHARGE pays for party enhancements, damage, etc., and proceeds are donated to a no-kill animal shelter. So, please be your usual honorable self and bring a $5 bill for the collection jar at the entrance. No RSVP necessary, but, those who sign up with Julia in advance jgenevy@juno.com to volunteer to help clean up on Sunday at 1:30 pm, get to waive both the cover charge and the potluck donation.
