Cafe Zentro - (602) 267-9566

So I walked into Cafe Zentro in Ahwatukee today. The first strange thing I saw was one of those goofy ceramic Chinese kitty cats with the waving paw on the counter. Totally out of place for a coffeehouse. Next, the woman behind the counter spoke terrible English. I asked about the lattes, and I have NO CLUE what she said in response. I got a vanilla latte. It was 17 cents more than the Coffee Bean's same size vanilla latte, and it was HORRIBLE. It had no taste whatsoever and it wasn't even hot. Not even lukewarm. I threw it out after not even drinking half of it. What a total waste of $3.57. The only good thing about the place was Dale Kesel's beautiful photography on the walls. But I'm never going back in there for coffee again. Word to the owners...........I don't think coffee is your niche. The Coffee Bean's coffee is a billion times better and it's cheaper.

From the minute my wife and I walked into this very unusual charming restaurant/coffee house we were struck by the ambiance and the nice music . It has a slight oriental touch, but is very international., The food and drink selections were very unique and there was something for every taste. Be sure and end your meal with their smoothies: fresh fruit and yogurt that is literally good to the last slurp. A GREAT experience.
