SkyCafe lets you escape to Africa through a cup of Majestic Sky Tea
Published: Jan 19, 2009
Africa may be an ocean away, but SkyCafe brings the flavors and scents of East Africa to the Phoenix area.
Influenced by African tradition, SkyCafe's signature Majestic Sky Tea is a magical blend of Kenyan black tea with aromatic herbs and spices, and it's a local favorite.
Once a month, SkyCafe offers a lunchtime African feast. It also sells custom espresso drinks, gourmet lunches and daily specials, and provides event catering.
SkyCafe owner Mohamed Abdalla is originally from Kenya, and he drew from his deep love and pride for his culture to create a place where customers can enjoy African cuisine and culture. A percentage of SkyCafe’s profits are used to support the children of the Happy Watoto Orphanage in Tanzania.
SkyCafe is located in the second floor of Arizona State University's SkySong innovation center. SkySong is a collaborative working environment where ASU staff and faculty work closely with start-up business and students to promote a culture of research and entrepreneurship.
SkySong is located at the intersection of McDowell and Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, for more information visit www.skysongcenter.com.
