AZ On The Rocks

Have you ever seen rock climbers on television and thought that was one sport that you’d never be able to do? Well, think again! At AZ On The Rocks, anyone can learn the ropes. Offering more than 14,000 square feet of air conditioned climbing terrain, this state-of-the-art facility provides hours of entertainment for visitors of all ages.

On your first visit, once you’re geared up, a certified trainer will go over some safety information and you’ll be required to watch a 10 minute orientation video. Any climbers under the age of 18 are required to have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian before they can climb.

Here are some important tips to keep in mind when rock climbing.
• Shirts that cover the chest and torso are required, for your own protection.
• Pants that allow you to move freely are ideal, jeans and shorts are not recommended.
• Stay hydrated and bring a light snack along for after your climb.
• AZ On The Rocks will provide all of the necessary gear for climbing, which includes a harness, shoes and carabiner. You will need to bring your own socks.

There are a few different options for climbing pricing. There are day passes available as well as punch cards that allow you to visit 10 times for one package price. Or, if you become a member, visits are a monthly fee regardless of how often you climb. These packages are all available for individuals or families and pricing ranges from $20-$150.

Open climbing isn’t the only fun time to be had on the rocks. Other fun options include birthday party packages, rock climbing classes, corporate team building sessions, personal training, exercise and fitness equipment and a full yoga program. There is even an afterschool program for kids in 1st-8th grade.
