Wing Mountain Snow Play: sled the day away!

Feb 7, 2010

Looking for something fun to do with the family this winter? Head up to Flagstaff and enjoy a fun filled day playing in the fresh snow. Wing Mountain Snow Play is a great alternative to indoor fun this summer and at a price of $10 per car load, the price can’t be beat. There are many sled runs to explore at various skill and age levels.

For the small children in your group, you'll find bunny slopes that will keep the giggles coming all day. Then, for the bigger kids, try some of the more advanced hills. There, you can race your friends to the bottom where the winner will be declared the snow king for the day!

On site, you’ll find the necessary amenities including portable bathroom facilities and a food stand. So, when you need to take a break from the cold fun, a warm cup of hot chocolate awaits. There are also a variety of sleds and other sledding gear available for purchase.

Whenever you’re visiting the snow, it’s important to dress accordingly. You should expect icy patches on the ground so sensible outdoor shoes are needed. Also, jackets and pants that are water resistant are recommended. And don’t forget to bring gloves, hats and scarves to bundle up.

Before you head out to Wing Mountain Snow Play, be sure to call and check the snow report to make sure that there is enough on the ground for a fun day. Also, you’ll want to make sure that you have chains if necessary.

So, have fun and stay safe. Please keep in mind that children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and supervised by an adult while visiting Wing Mountain.
