Stuffington Bear Factory: hands-on fun and factory tour

Since 1959, Stuffington Bear Factory has been a prominent teddy bear manufacture, supplying high quality wholesale products to many retail locations in the United States. There is also a retail store at the factory location where visitors can select from a wide variety of bears and other stuffed animals as well as clothing, accessories, pet items and do-it-yourself kits. Many of the retail items can be purchased online through the Stuffington website as well.
Today, Stuffington offers children of all ages factory tours and a chance to make a custom stuffed bear. Factory tours are a fun way to learn all about the history and processes involved in making these lovable friends. On the tour, visitor will learn interesting facts like how the teddy bear got its name and how the bear design was developed.
The most popular of the tour options is the stuff your own bear tour. For $12, visitors can take a guided tour and receive their own 12” bear, comb and air bathe. Also, two colorful ribbons and a birth certificate are included with the bear.
Monday-Saturday at 1 p.m., visitors can take a 20 minute free mini tour of the factory. For a more extensive tour, make a reservation for 10 visitors or more for $4 per person. Stuffington is a great field trip destination for schools, clubs and sports groups. The factory can also host your next birthday party.
