Out of Africa Wildlife Park

Located on 104 acres of wilderness in the Mingus Mountain range at Camp Verde, the Out of Africa Wildlife Park offers visitors a chance to interact with African animals in their own habitat. The elevation of 3,400 feet provides accommodations similar to the Masai Mara region of Kenya and the Serengeti of Tanzania.

When visitors arrive at the Wildlife Park, the adventure starts at the Market Place. Check out the gift shop and the Community Aviary before departing for one of the many Park tours. Tours include the Serengeti Safari Tour, the Behind the Scenes VIP Tour and shuttles to the Wildlife Preserve and the Tiger Splash Arena.

The Community Aviary is home to dozens of exotic birds including Mango, an Australian bare-eyed cockatoo and Pari, a red-lored Amazon. Visitors can meet them and the rest of their friends in the aviary.

The Serengeti Safari Tour takes visitors on a 45 minute ride through the heart of Africa. Visitors can expect a personal encounter with giraffe, zebra, ostrich and more. Snacks for the animals are provided so that visitors can feed the animals and maybe receive a kiss! On nearby hills, prides of lions or other big cats overlook their domain and prey animals.

One of the other exciting interactive activities at the Wildlife Park is the Wildlife Preserve Tour. This narrated tram or trolley tour of the Wildlife Preserve provides plenty of photo opportunities! Along this tour visitors might see lions, tigers, wolves, hyena and other predators.

The Wildlife Park also offers a Behind the Scenes VIP Tour, visitors get a three-hour, in-depth tour led by the founder of the Park. There is even an opportunity to feed a white tiger and enjoy spontaneous animal interaction. Tour includes lunch and all park activities and tours that day. This tour is not included with admission. There are a variety of live shows at the Wildlife Park including the Tiger Splash. Visitors can watch tigers and other big cats splash around in a pool as they play with their caretakers and toys.

The Snake Show features Anacondas, Pythons and Boas! With the help of a Park Caretaker, visitors can touch, pet and even hold some of these wonderful giant slithering reptiles.
