Children's Museum of Phoenix: bright eyes, happy faces
Published: Feb 1, 2009
Explore the noodle forest, plant a flower garden or take a ride in the desert den. Giggles and smiles will rule the day!
At the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, hands-on learning stations offer hours of fun designed to stimulate the mind and body. Among the many learn-by-playing activities are kid-sized models of a store, pizza parlor, ice cream shop, flower shop, and carwash.
In the art studio, children can paint, sculpt, cut and glue as they create masterpieces of imagination. For children under the age of 3, an area with softer surfaces and rounded corners provides a safe environment for play.
There's a lot to do at the museum, but all of the stimulation can wear you out. So take a break and enjoy one of the many quiet corners where you will find books and rocking chairs -- perfect for the down time that you and your child might need.
Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop, which carries a variety of educational toys and games.
Several museum membership plans are available, ranging from $75-$250 and providing an assortment of benefits. All include free admission, discounts and guest passes. For more information, visit the museum website.
